Five Signs You May Have a Sinus Infection

Runny nose - A sinus infection often starts with your nose, but ultimately affects your ears, nose, and throat. The runny nose could start as just a cold and later develop into a sinus infection.

Nasal congestion - It is not uncommon to develop nasal congestion after having a runny nose. This often happens because someone doesn’t want to blow their nose. If you are constantly sniffing to avoid blowing your nose you will likely end up congested and one step closer to a sinus infection.

Loss of smell & taste - These two often go hand in hand because when you can no longer smell, it is usually paired with not being able to taste. It is common to lose your sense of smell and taste when you are dealing with a sinus infection.

Sore throat - Your ears, nose, and throat tend to be connected when it comes to a sinus infection. It is likely that anything in your nasal passage could run down into your throat and cause discomfort. Therefore, sore throats can develop when your sinuses are a mess.

Fatigue - Just like many other sicknesses, a sinus infection will often cause you to be very tired. Your body is not only trying to fight off the infection but sleeping will likely be tough due to the difficulty of breathing in and out of your nose.
