Types of Hearing Loss

Sensorineural Hearing Loss:

Damage is caused to the inner ear nerves that can result from age, medical conditions, trauma, loud noise exposure, and genetics.

Conductive Hearing Loss:

Obstructions to the outer ear, middle ear, and the bones in it. The outer ear helps to prevent sound from coming into the middle ear. You may be hearing more distorted or faint sounds or a combination of both.

Mixed Hearing Loss:

When both sensorineural and conductive hearing loss are present.
